Everything you see on a finished wall depends on how the board went up. Leo Drywall hangs drywall across the Asheville area for single rooms, basements, bonus rooms, additions, garages and whole houses — measured, cut and screwed to the framing on the right spacing, with joints staggered and landed on studs so they have something solid behind them. We use moisture-resistant board in bathrooms and laundry rooms, fire-rated board where the code calls for it, and 5/8 on ceilings so they do not sag between joists. Leonel is on the job, and the hanging is done with the finishing in mind — a wall hung tight and flat is half the finish before anyone opens a bucket.

Hang It Tight

Ceilings first, then walls, joints staggered and landed on framing, screws set flush without tearing the paper face.

Ready for Finish

Openings cut, edges trimmed, offcuts and packaging out. The wall is handed to the finishers flat and tight, or we finish it ourselves.
