Two trades, one standard

Leo Drywall & Painting LLC was built by Leonel Chimil Antonio on a simple idea: the two trades that decide how a finished room actually looks — the drywall behind the paint and the tile in the wet rooms — should be done by the same careful hands, to the same standard. We started hanging and finishing board, added tile because customers kept asking who else they had to call, and ended up doing whole bathrooms and remodels because the two trades between them cover most of what a renovation is.

Working in these mountains teaches you things a product label never will. Houses on a slope move, and the cracks come back at the same joint every year unless the tape is properly bedded. Cabins that sit empty all winter go through a swing in humidity that finds every shortcut. Ceilings sprayed in the seventies are still up there in half the county, and the ones old enough to worry about need testing before anybody touches them. Water gets into houses here more often than people expect, and wet board has to come out rather than be dried and painted over.

Today we hang, finish, texture and repair drywall, remove popcorn ceilings, set tile on floors, walls and showers, and take bathrooms, remodels and new construction from framing through to the last bead of silicone — for homeowners, builders and general contractors from Marion to Sylva and from Burnsville to Tryon, with Leonel on every job. We're open Monday to Saturday, 8 AM to 6 PM, Sundays for emergencies, we work in English and Spanish, and every estimate is free.
